Visualize Yourself In Nature
The James River Conservation Area could have some new and exciting amenities coming soon. Several improvements have been proposed, which will serve as environmental and recreational mitigation for the adjacent Dominion Energy coal ash ponds.
Picture yourself strolling down an elevated boardwalk above a picturesque lagoon or hiking along a scenic trail with the peaceful sounds of the James river in the distance. For all the water lovers, canoe and kayak launches are in the plans, as well as multiple boat ramps. Additional improvements include parking access and a new bridge.
In collaboration with Chesterfield County and Austin Brockenbrough Associates, LPDA prepared multiple visualizations of these proposed public access amenities, which will be located at the Dutch Gap Conservation Area and new James River Boat Launch. LPDA developed rendered plans, photo simulations, and a modeled bird’s eye view in order to translate the construction drawings into relatable graphics for the public and for approvers to review. We’re excited to see these plans come to life.
