LPDA Names Amie Evans and Aaron Schwartz as Firm Associates
Sterling, Virginia, January 12, 2022 – LPDA a Landscape Architecture and Planning Firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of two employees, Amie Evans and Aaron Schwartz to Associate.
“It also gives me great pleasure to name Amie Evans and Aaron Schwartz as Associates of LPDA,” Bill Mechnick, President of LPDA said. “They have both demonstrated incredible leadership and commitment these many years with our Firm, and their extensive experience has made them invaluable resources for all of our clients.”
Amie has 19 years’ experience and for the past 12 years she has designed and managed a range of projects for LPDA from master planning of communities to parks, urban design, and healthcare facilities. Her signature projects include Potomac Yard Park, Falcons Landing, and The North Star School.
In her new position as Associate, Amie will continue to lead projects from concept design through construction documentation as well as providing construction administrative services for our clients. “Her extensive experience in construction administration gives her a unique understanding of the realities of design and construction,” stated Zac Lette, Vice President of LPDA. “She has been a key part of our success, and we were thrilled to promote her to this important position.”
Aaron joined LPDA in 2007 as Project Manager and quickly rose to Senior Project Manager where his primary focus has been in planning and landscape architecture. He has designed and managed several projects from parks and greenways to community developments and residential amenity packages at various scales. His signature projects include the National Museum of the US Army and Westmoore at Moorefield Station.
In his new position as Associate, Aaron will continue to be the Firm’s lead on Department of Defense projects and big public infrastructure projects. “His ability to communicate directly with clients and lead our in-house teams as well as outside consultants, has contributed to his success in our Firm,” Zac stated. “He is instrumental in positioning our company for future growth.”
Amie holds a B.S. degree from Virginia Tech and is Licensed in the state of Virginia. She is also a Certified Playground Safety Inspector. Aaron holds a B.S. degree from North Dakota State University and is Licensed in the state of Virginia.
