Land Planning and Design is an award–winning land planning and landscape architecture firm that specializes in the planning and design of places for people. We serve a variety of clients in the public and private sector and focus on community planning, design and amenity. Projects include significant park system planning, park design, trails, museums, urban design, community revitalization, economic development, transportation, mixed use development and residential communities for local municipalities, federal agencies, and private development companies. Projects are located across the mid-Atlantic region. LPDA works extensively with other partner firms including Architects, Engineers, Environmental Scientists, Planners, Economists, and management consultants. We lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams on small to large projects. We serve the Mid-Atlantic market with offices in Charlottesville and Sterling Virginia.
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Project Designer to join our Sterling, VA office location and to be available to work between offices. Applicants should be creative, open-minded, collaborative, motivated and possess solid design, graphic, and written communication skills.

We are looking for someone with a passion for the type of work we do and a desire and ability to learn and continually improve their skill set. Proficiency in basic commonly use programs is required. Your will be expected to learn on the job from experienced staff and self-direct your own skill development and learning whenever possible.
