Sometimes small projects have big impacts. In this blog post we focus on the Fi tness Center Renovation at the Piedmont Club in Haymarket. Built in the 90’s Piedmont Country Club features an incredible set of amenities centered on residential housing. At construction the Fitness Center building elevation was set too low causing flooding in big storm events. LPDA was hired by the owner to develop a remediation for the flooding problem. The solution was to build a portion of the project out of permeable pavers and drop the center of the plaza into a rain garden allowing the water to have relief in large storm events.
LPDA would like to congratulate John Ralph and Quail Run Signs on its Signatures of Loudoun Award. John is one of LPDA’s favorite collaborators. Check out some of our handiwork together in the images below.

Woodstock celebrated the re opening of W.O. Riley Park with a completely new and expanded park program. The re-imagined park integrates a natural play program mixed with structured play and an expanded park for events and activities.
LPDA provided master planning and construction documentation for this re-imagined park.
